Daily Activities and Assignments (homework is in bold)
Week 1
Wednesday 1/11/17 (Day 1)
Today we introduced ourselves, talked about the syllabus (which is located on the home page of World History 2 section). I assigned the first assignment which was the syllabus confirmation form (which is also located on the home page of World History 2 section, and will be “turned in” through google classroom – contact Ms. P for class code) that will be due on Thursday Jan 19. The students were given packets to analyze what an absolute government is. Answering the questions: What is absolutism? What are attributes of an absolute leader? What are examples and non-examples of an absolute leader?
Thursday 1/12/17 (Day 2)
The students finished their Absolutism packets from yesterday, took notes on the age of exploration and completed a worksheet about a specific explorer. They also turned in Start-up #1
Wednesday 1/11/17 (Day 1)

Today the students took some notes on the enlightenment era; completing an assignment with the notes: developing a wanted poster for a specific Philosopher.
Wednesday 1/18/17 (Day 4)
The students then took some notes about the French Revolution and completed an Activity: Creating a picket sign as if they were a member of the 3rd estate during the Revolution.
Thursday 1/19/17 (Day 5)
Today the students took the First Day Quiz (the link for which can be found on Google Classroom, if not accessible or turned on please contact Ms. P), and turned in their syllabus. They then took the Pre-test and then completed a packet about the “Reign of Terror”. Students also turned in Start-up #2

Thursday 1/26/17 (Day 9)
Today the students reviewed Exam 1 and then played out what it would be like to actually be at the Berlin conference in 1884. And turned in Start-up #3

Wednesday 2/8/17 (Day 16)
Today the Students took notes on the Causes of WWII then broke up into three different Theatre Groups. They Split up different events that happened in their theater to become experts on those topics. They will share their topics tomorrow.

Today the students took their third summative test – Exam 2: Covering The Cold War and Terrorism (the link for which can be found on Google Classroom, if not accessible or turned on please contact Ms. P). Then continued work on their research and turned in Start-ups #8
